Ironhush atelier, Istanbul

A workshop built
for precision.

Ironhush is a one-person atelier producing hand-crafted low-poly animal sculptures in galvanized steel. Every piece is a commission — nothing is mass-produced, nothing is stocked.

The process starts with a conversation and ends at your door. Between those two moments: a 3D model, your approval, and machine cutting, hand folding, assembly, and welding.

FOUNDER · DESIGNER · SCULPTOR

I started Ironhush for a simple reason: the sculptures I wanted to own didn't exist. So I learned to make them — a process that turned out to be as compelling as the objects themselves.

Every piece I make starts in a modelling application as a low-poly mesh, moves to the cutting machine as a flat pattern, and ends as a three-dimensional object in steel. The gap between the digital model and the physical result is where the craft lives.

From brief to doorstep.

From brief to doorstep.

01 — 07

Brief

We discuss your vision: the animal, the scale, the placement, and any reference images you have. No commitment required at this stage.

02 — 07

3D Model

Our designer builds the low-poly mesh in a modelling application — facet by facet, until the geometry captures the character of your chosen subject.

03 — 07

Approval

You review the rendered model. We adjust proportions, angle, and detail until you sign off. Nothing proceeds to production without your confirmation.

04 — 07

Cutting

The 3D model is unfolded into a flat pattern. Each facet is manually laid out and machine-cut from galvanized steel.

05 — 07

Assembly

Facets are precisely scored, folded along their edges, and riveted into the final three-dimensional form. Each point is hand-dressed.

06 — 07

Finishing

Edges are dressed with a flap disc, surfaces inspected under studio light, and the piece cleaned. Powder coating or PVD titanium coating is applied at this stage if requested.

07 — 07

Delivery

Carefully packaged and shipped to your door — or collected in person from the Istanbul atelier. Lead time: 2–10 weeks from approval.

Engineered to last.

Thickness 0.6 – 1.5 mm

Varies by animal and scale — thin enough to fold cleanly along a scored line, rigid enough to hold its geometry without internal support.

Fabrication Industrial Cutting

Each facet is individually cut using industrial cutting methods, hand-scored, folded along the crease, and welded into form.

Finish Hand-dressed

Edges dressed with a flap disc. Galvanized patina left exposed — optionally powder-coated in any RAL colour, or PVD titanium-coated for a premium finish.
